How Much Does SEO Cost in Pakistan?
By the Futuronix team · 11 September 2026
SEO is sold as a monthly package, and the packages range from almost nothing to more than a salary. The gap is not because some agencies are greedy and others generous. It is because the phrase covers wildly different amounts of work, and the cheapest packages usually buy activity rather than results.
Why it is priced monthly
Search rankings are not a thing you buy once. They are the result of ongoing work - content, technical maintenance, links, and reacting to what competitors and Google do. A one-off "SEO setup" can fix technical foundations, but it cannot hold a position against competitors who keep working. That is why serious firms price it as a retainer, and why a firm offering a one-time fee for rankings is selling something else.
What actually drives the cost
- How competitive your terms are. Ranking a plumber in one Lahore neighbourhood is a different job from ranking a national e-commerce brand. The competition sets the effort required.
- The state of the site. A slow, badly structured site needs technical work before content is worth writing. Sometimes the honest advice is that a rebuild is cheaper than working around the problems.
- How much content is needed. Pages built to answer what buyers search for take real writing. A site with eight pages competing against sites with eighty needs a lot of it.
- Local versus national. Local search leans on your Google Business Profile, citations and reviews - cheaper, faster work. National terms need authority, which takes months.
- Who does the work. A retainer covering an experienced strategist, a writer and a developer costs more than one person running a checklist. The results differ accordingly.
What the cheapest packages actually buy
A low monthly fee typically pays for a report. Keywords get tracked, a few directory submissions happen, some meta tags get edited, and a PDF arrives showing numbers that move up and down. Nothing that requires judgement or real writing happens, because the fee does not cover it. The site does not rank better, but the invoices continue. If a package is priced below what a competent person would cost for the hours involved, that is what you are buying.
What you should expect for a real engagement
An audit before anything else, with findings you keep whether or not you continue. A written plan naming the terms and pages being targeted. Monthly work you can actually see - published content, technical fixes made, listings built. Reporting on rankings for commercially meaningful terms, organic traffic, and enquiries - not impressions. And ownership of your own Analytics and Search Console accounts throughout.
How to judge whether it is paying off
Ignore the ranking report for a moment and count enquiries. If the organic channel is producing leads at a cost below your other channels, it is working. If it is producing a prettier report each month and nothing else, it is not, regardless of how many keywords moved. Give it time - local work shows movement in weeks, competitive national terms in months - but set that expectation at the start, in writing.
Our approach
We quote after an audit rather than from a package list, because the audit is what tells us how much work your situation actually needs. Our SEO services page explains what an engagement involves, and for city-level work see SEO in Lahore. The pricing page covers how we think about cost across all our services. If you are a local business, start with how to rank a local business in Lahore - most of that work is housekeeping you can do yourself.
